As anyone with a dog knows, our canine pals are creatures of habit. Unfortunately, no matter how well a boarding kennel is run, no matter how dog-friendly their staff, no matter what lengths they go to to make your dog comfortable, the experience of spending a few days at the kennel is stressful for a dog. Personally, I know my dogs act a bit odd for at least a few hours after they come home from a boarding session. 

When you go out of town, the least stressful thing you can do for your pooch is to let him stay at home. While your not being around may be a little odd for him, the familiar scenery is nonetheless very reassuring. With Derek's Dog Days, you can let your dog rest in the comfort of his own home while you are away.

15-minute visit: $10 (available if scheduling at least 3 visits/day)
30-minute visit: $13
60-minute visit: $22

Additional dogs: $4/day
Additional other pets: $2/day

All sitting visits include:

• Bringing in the mail
• Alternating the lights
• Watering plants
• Dog waste pickup
• Daily doggy journal
• Taking the dog for a walk! (30 or 60 minute visit required)
  

In addition to the above, I will also administer any medicine your dog needs (no injections), play with your dog out back or around the house (depending on what they like), and of course feed them and give plenty of affection.

Unavailable Dates

As I am a 1-man operation (and will never send anyone else to your home), there are certain dates that I am unavailable for sitting, due to being out of town or other engagements. I try to update this list often and give as much notice as possible (all dates are 2012).
